Free Solar Tours

The ASES Houston Solar Tour highlights 20 local projects.

The Tour offers Houstonians a chance to explore how homeowners and businesses are using alternative forms of energy. The project emphasis solar technologies and a few other energy efficient solutions as part of "Energy Awareness Month".

Lower energy bills,
Reduce harmful emissions,
Green-collar jobs


These are other bright spots the Solar industry will bring to our community.

Metro will provide buses for the day to give the option of a guided tour. Sponsors such as TXU, Direct Energy and Green Mountain demonstrate their commitment to solar energy.

Interactive information about the tour sites and solar energy in Houston is available online. Through HARC, the Houston Solar Tour also supports the goals of the Solar Houston Initiative.

Free Events In Houston -September 09




Here's my free events in September short list! The summer is almost outta here and everyone knows the best event are free in Houston. I'll give you quick run down of the ones that I highly recommend. Not just because they are no-cost, but they'll have plenty of excitement, goodtimes and fun.

The top of the list has to be Annual Free Museum Day Sept 12. Over 15 museums throw open their doors and give us a peak at the artistic treasures they have on display.
